June Happenings

Alasdair and his band of three have finished recording a new album. It’s due to be mixed in early July and released in the autumn.
Unlike last year’s No Earthly Man LP, which contained only traditional songs and ballads, all of the songs recorded in this month’s session are Roberts-written.

Alasdair in the studio

Last week Alasdair recorded a song co-written with poet Robin Robertson. It will be included on an upcoming Chemikal Underground Records release featuring collaborations between (mostly) Scottish musicians and writers, for which no release date is yet confirmed.
Robin Robertson’s latest collection Swithering is available now, published by Picador.

Alasdair has two solo festival appearances lined up in August – check the Live page for more information.
