Many thanks to all those inhabitants of Ulster and Eire who came to hear, see and support Alasdair, Ewan Walker and Alex Neilson on their Warp-Spasm Tour of those lands earlier this month.
The new recordings are finished – 12 songs, 8 or 9 of which will make the final cut for a new LP. The others will end up being released elsewhere. Provisional LP title: ‘Spoils’. Estimated release date: April/May 2009.
Perhaps unfortunately, the song about Theodor Adorno descending from the firmament in the guise of Orion to save the protagonist from entanglement in a hawthorn (wherein he’s ventured to try to win a red ruby) with the magical power of his fiddling, before sewing him some new clothes and disappearing, remains unrecorded.
