Thanks to all who facilitated and came to experience Cath and Phil Tyler and Alasdair Roberts play live in Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham. They’ll be playing again in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on Sunday 21st November.
Special thanks to Phil Tyler for playing fiddle on a new auld song – ‘False Lover John’, which is a version of what Professor Child, in his well-known compendious and nigh-inexhaustible tome on the matter, calls ‘The Outlandish Knight’ (the version is after Kevin Mitchell).
Alasdair is playing solo at Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht on 27th November. Then he takes part in Concerto Caledonia’s Revenge of the Folksingers project in Aldeburgh, Suffolk along with fellow guests Claire Salaman, Martin Carthy, Olivia Chaney and Mairi Campbell (replacing Susie leBlanc). The project culminates in a collaborative concert on 5th December.
